The share of domestic production in sales of new cars by official dealers was 65% in 2021. At the same time, the share of domestic passenger cars in the most popular categories B and C was 75%,” the speaker noted.

The products of the Kazakhstan automobile industry are in demand abroad as well. Export deliveries of Kazakhstani cars increased by 49% and amounted to 12,103 units. The main markets are the Russian Federation, Uzbekistan, Belarus. The representative of the Ministry of Industry and Infrastructure Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan also outlined the topical issue. Today, there is a shortage of cars all over the world due to a lack of microchips (semiconductors), as well as a violation of supply chains for the supply of cars and components around the world. Therefore, automakers are constantly negotiating with partners to increase quotas for the supply of components for our auto enterprises.

Despite this, the plans of domestic producers for 2022 are about 109 thousand car units.
