Creditors of previous years can participate in the new program of preferential car loans

Since 2015, a preferential car loan program has been operating in the country. Until May 2021, 82 billion tenge has been allocated. As of March 31st of the current year, 30 thousand cars were purchased for this amount, loans for 162 billion tenge were issued due to the revolving turnover of funds. That is, the repaid amount goes to the applicants' new loans. Given the shortage of affordable cars, the government announced the launch of a new program of preferential car loans. Its subtleties were explained at a briefing in the CCS by Olzhas Saparbekov, Deputy Chairman of the Industrial Development Committee of the Ministry of Industry and Infrastructure Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

“The program is being implemented through second-tier banks: Halyk Bank, Eurasian Bank, Jusan Bank, Bank Center Credit, Forte bank. At the same time, the government of the Republic of Kazakhstan adopted a resolution dated April 15 of this year, which provides for the financing of a new car loan program in the amount of 100 billion tenge, and leasing financing for the renewal of the bus fleet in the amount of 30 billion tenge at the expense of the “Zhasyl Damu” operator. Those who previously participated in the previous program can also participate in the program. An electronic queue will be formed,” the speaker assured.

The main conditions of the program: the amount of financing for 1 unit of passenger vehicles should not exceed 10 million tenge; financing per end borrower is provided no more than once in two years; the term of financing is not more than 7 years; initial payment from 0%; the car itself is no more than 15 million tenge.

Currently, a procedure is being carried out related to the transfer of the necessary funds to JSC “Zhasyl Damu” for the implementation of the program.
