Domestic manufacturers will be able to meet demand within the framework of preferential car loans - A. Makasheva

At the end of 2021, sales of new cars by official dealers amounted to more than 117 thousand cars, and sales growth in the market amounted to about 26%, compared to the previous period. During the pandemic, there was also an increase in sales in the market, despite logistical problems and shortages of components. According to the forecast of manufacturers and official partners, the trend will continue in 2022. Such data was given at a briefing in the CCS by the vice-president of the Association of Kazakhstan auto business Anar Makasheva.

“This is due to the fact that many of the official representatives of the manufacturer still solved their problems with logistics, somewhere the logistics routes changed, somewhere there was a change in suppliers. We assume that the growth trend will continue. Our producers say that the growth trend will continue in anticipation of the soft lending program. A lot of questions are now being asked in the media: will our manufacturers be able to provide our population with cars as a result of a shortage or, as we say, increased demand? Yes, our manufacturers will also provide cars under the preferential car loan program. There are a lot of questions related to the pricing and cost of vehicles in Kazakhstan. According to the Bureau of National Statistics, in January-March 2022, the average increase in the cost of vehicles in the Republic of Kazakhstan was about 17%, depending on the model, of course. Our manufacturers and official representatives, nevertheless, managed to contain the growth in value that we are seeing all over the world, ” the representative of the domestic auto business assured.
