Yerbol Nurgaliyev, Chairman of the Labor, Social Protection and Migration Committee of the relevant ministry, shared at a briefing at the CCS.

“We are implementing the Action Plan to ensure safe work until 2025, approved at a government meeting. It provides for the improvement of mechanisms for preventing industrial injuries; improvement of the mechanism of compulsory insurance against industrial accidents; introduction of a risk-based mechanism for providing guarantees to employees employed in jobs with harmful working conditions. As a result of the implementation of these measures, by 2025, the accident frequency rate is expected to decrease to 0.20 per 1 thousand employees (now - 0.22); the proportion of workers employed in hazardous working conditions is expected to decrease to 20%,” Yerbol Nurgaliyev said.
