According to him, a specially created Working Group worked for more than a month on the legal formalization of the ideas put forward. As a result, a draft law on amendments to the Constitution was prepared, which was published in the media on May 6. The President of the Republic decided to submit the draft law to a republican referendum. Thus, the way was chosen to use the most democratic way to change the Constitution, so that every citizen could express his opinion on the proposed innovations.

“56 proposals have been made, they cover changes and additions regarding 33 articles of the Constitution. That is, it turns out that in terms of the volume of changes, this is a third of the entire content of the text of the Constitution itself. We believe that these are significant changes, and these justified changes and additions to the Constitution were submitted to the republican referendum, which will be held on June 5,” the speaker noted.
