An agreement was signed between the Governments of Kazakhstan and Turkey on cooperation in the field of education in Ankara

As part of the state visit of President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev to Turkey, an agreement was signed between the Governments of Kazakhstan and Turkey on cooperation in the field of education. This was announced by the Minister of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan Askhat Aimagambetov.

This agreement provides:

- exchange of experience of teachers, educators and heads of educational organizations;

– exchange of experience on the application of new technologies in the field of education;

- encouraging the participation of students in scientific and cultural projects on a reciprocal basis;

– conducting research and conferences;

– development of cooperation between educational institutions on the basis of joint programs;

– development of cooperation in the field of youth policy.

Also, Kazakhstan and Turkey will provide scholarships for higher and (or) postgraduate education in their universities.

Also, during the visit, issues of chairmanship in the Scientific Council of the International Turkic Academy, which this year will be transferred from Turkey to Kazakhstan, were discussed.
