The talks were preceded by an official welcoming ceremony at the presidential palace. The Head of the Guard of Honor gave a report to the leaders of the two countries. After the performance of the anthems of Kazakhstan and Turkey, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and Recep Tayyip Erdogan introduced the members of the official delegations to each other.
The ceremony was followed by a private meeting. The heads of state discussed a wide range of issues of the Kazakh-Turkish strategic partnership, paying special attention to strengthening ties in the political, trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian spheres. Issues of the global and regional agenda were also considered.
The President of Kazakhstan thanked Recep Tayyip Erdogan for the invitation to visit the fraternal Republic of Turkey and invited him to our country.
The Turkish leader, in turn, expressed gratitude to Kassym-Jomart Tokayev for accepting the invitation and arriving in Ankara. Recep Tayyip Erdogan accepted an invitation to visit Kazakhstan this autumn.
