“The leading countries in the development of solar energy today are China (176 GW), the USA (62 GW), Japan (56 GW), as well as Germany (45 GW) and India (33 GW). For comparison, the total installed capacity of all power plants in Kazakhstan is 21 GW, ”said Nurlan Kapenov, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the ALE “Solar Power Association of Kazakhstan”, at a press conference in the CCS.
He noted that Kazakhstan has a successful and unique experience in implementing projects for the construction of solar power plants and the stable phased development of solar energy in the country.
According to the speaker, the participants of these processes united in 2018 in the “Kazakhstan Association of Solar Energy”, positioning the professional association as a “single platform” for Kazakhstan and international industry players.
“To date, members and accredited observers of the Association are foreign investors, developers, equipment manufacturers, design institutes, universities and international financial institutions,” he said.
