The Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan conducted a survey of the subjects of the fuel and energy complex to determine the level of digitalization in accordance with Industry 4.0 methodology., Ortcom.kz reports.

 

“To develop a set of activities of the state program“ Digital Kazakhstan ”in the direction of digitalization of oil and gas and uranium industries, electric power industry, ecology, the Ministry conducted a survey of the subjects of the fuel and energy complex to determine the level of digitalization in accordance with Industry 4.0 methodology, the results of which showed work, ”said. Vice-Minister of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan Bolat Akchulakov in the Central Communications Service at a press conference on the digitalization of the fuel and energy complex.

As the vice minister notes, the need to conduct a survey is primarily related to the lack of a systematic approach both to choosing one solution or another in manufacturing companies, and in general to the approach to initiating and supporting projects classified as digital.

“The Ministry of Energy includes 8 activities in the State Program“ Digital Kazakhstan ”, of which 3 projects are icebreaker projects, and 7 projects that are not included in the program’s perimeter are in the process,” said Bolat Akchulakov.

He stressed that the total economic effect from the digitization of the fuel and energy complex is tentatively estimated at 143 billion tenge.

The speaker also said that in the framework of the recommendations of the State Program “Digital Kazakhstan”, in order to attract specialists with high competences in the field of project management, the Ministry built partnership relations with the consortium “Energy Digital” and updated the digitalization office of the state body.

“In the second half of last year, the Ministry created project groups, which also included representatives of companies that are members of Samruk-Kazyna,” the vice minister said.

According to the results of successful pilot projects, according to the vice minister, the ministry will develop standards for further replication, such as the Intellectual Field, the Digital Power Plant. In addition, it is planned to develop the concept of Smart Grid.
