According to the vice minister, Kazakhstan is ahead of such OECD countries as Spain (30th place), France (32), Poland (33), Portugal (34), Switzerland (38), Japan (39), Turkey (43).

“The presented rating results showed that Kazakhstan has risen up in 6 out of 10 main areas,” said Serik Zhumangarin.

The speaker also said that Kazakhstan retained its first place in the indicator “Protection of Minority Investors” and moved up the rating by indicators: “Enforcement of contracts”, having moved from the 6th to the 4th position of the rating (+2); “Obtaining a building permit”, having moved the 52nd to the 35th position of the rating (+17); “Discovery of enterprises”, having moved from the 41st to the 36th position in the rating (+5); “Insolvency Resolution”, having moved from the 39th to the 37th position in the rating (+2); “Getting credits”, having moved from the 77th to the 60th position in the rating (+17); “International trade”, having moved from the 123rd to the 102nd position of the rating (+21).
