A national standard has been developed that defines uniform requirements for the installation and maintenance of elevators.

“In order to streamline the requirements, a National Standard was developed that defines uniform requirements for the installation and maintenance of elevators. He united almost all 16 regulatory documents and was agreed upon by the parties concerned, ”said Kairbek Uskenbayev, Vice Minister for Investment and Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

He recalled that the minimum safety requirements for elevators were established in the framework of the Technical Regulations of the Eurasian Economic Union "Safety of elevators", which was adopted to ensure safety when elevators were put into circulation. It was launched from April 18, 2013.

Currently, in the Republic of Kazakhstan, there are about 16 regulatory technical documents, which to some extent regulate the activity of elevator facilities and operating organizations.
