In the coming 2019, Kazakhstanis will rest 120 days - that is how many calendar days in total fall on holidays and weekends next year, reports ortcom.kz with reference to the MIA "Kazinform".
The longest weekends are for Kazakhstanis in March - 14 days of rest, in May and December - 12 days each.
In January, citizens of the country will rest 11 days, in June and August - 10 days each, in July, September and November - 9 days each, in February, April and October - 8 days each.
In accordance with the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan “On Holidays in the Republic of Kazakhstan,” days on which national and state holidays are celebrated in the Republic of Kazakhstan are recognized as holidays in accordance with the labor legislation of the country.
Recall that the holidays celebrated in the Republic of Kazakhstan are: public holidays:
New Year - January 1-2; International Women's Day - March 8; Nauryz Meiramy - March 21-23;
The holiday of unity of the people of Kazakhstan - May 1;
Defender of the Fatherland Day - May 7;

Holidays in the Republic of Kazakhstan are non-working days. If a holiday and a holiday coincide, the day off (Saturday, Sunday) is the next working day after the holiday. Thus, in 2019, days off during the five-day working week are postponed: from March 23 to March 25; from July 6 to July 8; from December 1 to December 2; with a six-day working week: from December 1 to December 2. In addition, weekends are the first day of Kurban Ait, celebrated according to the Muslim calendar, January 7 - Orthodox Christmas are days off. In 2019, the first day of Kurban Ait falls on August 11.
