The implementation of the “Digital Kazakhstan” program is one of the main priorities of the state policy of the country. The Prime Minister Bakytzhan Sagintayev announced this at the International Innovation Forum Digital Bridge, ortcom.kz reports citing Kapital.kz.
“Today, Kazakhstan probably lives only on a digital agenda, and the main task of the government is to bring to life the program that was adopted exactly a year ago. Before accepting this program, 10 years ago we launched a program for the transition to the provision of public services in digital format. And after the time expires, we begin to understand that it is impossible to stop only on the provision of public services. In general, digitalization is not only public services, but also the economy, ”said Bakytzhan Sagintayev.
According to the head of the government, in the last 8 months only 13 million services have been rendered in digital format.
The Prime Minister expressed hope that the “Digital Kazakhstan” program will allow improving the indicators of the republic in the Doing Business rating in terms of “International Trade”.
“We expect that next year we will have completely different indicators of the International Trade Index.” That is, where the state should be proactive, there we carry out relevant work, plus, naturally, this is training. Training in colleges and universities, even in schools, the retraining of our specialists, the provision of permanent skills in new areas - this all falls on the shoulders of the state, ”he stressed.
Bakytzhan Sagintayev added that the government is faced with the big task of increasing labor productivity.

Within the framework of the forum, the first in Kazakhstan digitalization award, the Digital Bridge Awards, was presented. The jury of the award, chaired by the Vice Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan Askar Zhumagaliyeva, determined the winners in three nominations.
