“In the Kostanay region, more than 16,000 people are engaged in football under the leadership of almost 400 coaches, which is a record indicator of the mass character among all cultivated sports in the region,” said akim of the Kostanay region, Archimedes Mukhambetov, at a press conference on the results of social economic development of the Kostanay region in the framework of the Address of the Head of State.
As the head of the region notes, only 2840 young football players are involved in the football divisions of the Youth Sports School. In the city of Kostanay, there is a specialized football school in which 842 people train, the football club Tobol’s football center has 375 young football players and two private football schools, Junior and Derby, which teach 140 children the basics of football.
“In the city of Kostanay this year an Academy of Football was established with two training football fields. The construction of an indoor football arena is being completed under a public-private partnership program, which will be available for the training process and the games of children’s and teenage groups of football branches, ”said Akim.
All these measures are aimed at creating a sports reserve for the selection of the main and additional teams of the Tobol Football Club.
