This was announced at the press service of the Central Communications Service held in Astana by akim of the region Archimedes Mukhambetov.
“166.1 billion tenge of investments have already been invested in the region’s economy with a growth of 10.6%,” the akim informed, “while external investments were 1.8 times more than in the same period last year”.
In general, the development of the regional economy is associated with the implementation of investment projects. A total of 40 projects in the amount of 2.2 trillion tenge, including 13 projects with 1.4 trillion tenge with foreign participation, are being worked out.
The head of the region said that these projects will be mainly implemented on the newly created “industrial zone”, for which the region is creating the necessary infrastructure. In parallel, work is underway to fill it. Today, on its territory it is planned to place 11 projects for 1.2 trillion. tenge with the creation of more than 2 thousand jobs.
Already, on the territory of the “industrial zone” for the Russian investor, the Holding “Composite Group” has built an assembly workshop, which houses the production of Belarus tractors and refrigeration systems. Taking into account the further expansion and increase of the localization level, the amount of investments in the project will be about 15 billion tenge, capacity - 3000 tractors per year.
It is worth noting that the Kostanay Invest investment forum has been held in the region for the second year in a row, which reveals investment opportunities and the export potential of the region. This year the forum was attended by representatives of 9 countries, 19 memorandums of cooperation were signed, worth more than 251 billion tenge, including with Hangteng Auto Co. Ltd. (organization of production of cars in the Kostanay region), with Bio Grain LLP (a modern crop processing complex), with the Composite Group Holding (organization of Belarus tractors production in the territory of the Kostanay Industrial Zone), and so on. d.
