KAZAKHSTAN. CCS - Domestic tourism is a powerful political priority for Kazakhstan. The Imantausko-Shalkar resort area is included in the top 10 priority projects of the Touristization Card of the Republic of Kazakhstan, ortcom.kz reports.
In Aiyrtau district of North Kazakhstan region, on the border with Akmola region, there is its pearl - Imantausko-Shalkar resort zone, which is included in the top-10 priority projects of the Republic Kazakhstan's touristization map.
As is known, more than 30 thousand Kazakhstani and Russian tourists come to the region annually. In total, there are 37 recreation centers and 3 children's recreation camps around the lakes Shalkar and Imantau.
Currently, together with an international consulting company, a master plan for the development of the Imantau-Shalkar resort zone is being developed. Significant state support is provided to small businesses that provide infrastructure for visiting tourists.
Last year, representatives of local executive bodies noticeably improved the transport infrastructure.
About 150 km of roads were repaired, which significantly reduced travel time from both Astana and the Russian Federation.
We remind that about 1 billion tenge was allocated for comfortable travel to these lakes, this year - 3.2 billion tenge.
