The exercise is aimed at increasing the level of military skills and combat skills, as well as improving the combat training of special operations forces units. In addition, participation in maneuvers allows you to gain experience in organizing interaction as part of an interspecific grouping of troops.
The first stage takes place in the form of a command and staff exercise, using computer technology and electronic computing systems. The second is planned to be held in the form of practical actions with live firing in the joint units.
During the active phase, which will take place from May 28 to June 9 this year, the servicemen will work out the skills necessary for conducting joint land and sea operations, as well as landing.
This year, military personnel from about 40 countries are participating in the Efes-2022 exercise.
It should be noted, that in accordance with the instructions of the President of the country Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, on January 19, 2022, the command of the Special Operations Forces was created in the structure of the Armed Forces of Kazakhstan.
The Ministry of Defense determined the composition of forces and means, the tasks and functions of the command.
The special operations forces are designed to solve special tasks in the framework of ensuring the country's defense capability and military security, including participation in anti-terrorist operations and countering illegal armed groups.
