The event was attended by delegations of the border agencies of Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan.

Representatives of the interacting bodies of the CIS - the Executive Committee, the Anti-Terrorism Center, the Bureau for Coordinating the Fight against Organized Crime and other dangerous types of crimes on the territory of the CIS member states, the Executive Committee of the Regional Anti-Terrorist Structure of the SCO and the Secretariat of the Collective Security Treaty Organization were invited to the meeting.

A welcoming speech at the opening of the event was made by the Chairman of the National Security Committee of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Lieutenant-General E. Sagimbaev.

The delegates discussed topical issues of organizing the protection of the external borders of the CIS member states. The results of the activities of the CCBT on the formation of a system for ensuring border security and the joint special border operations carried out were summed up. The tasks of the CCBT for the coming year and mechanisms for improving the exchange of information, developing cooperation in research and education were considered.

Within the framework of the meeting, in a separate format, Y. Sagimbaev also met with the heads of invited international organizations.

As a result of the meeting, the heads of border agencies signed 11 decisions.

The next meeting of the CCBT is scheduled for the second half of 2022 on the territory of the Republic of Tajikistan.
