Farmers of the Panfilovsky district of the Almaty region using drip irrigation from one hectare receive up to 120 centners, which is 2 times higher than the average yield in the region.

 

“This year, in the Almaty region, sugar beets were sown on an area of ​​11,200 hectares, and a record harvest of 440 thousand tons was gathered. The gross yield of sugar beet increased by 32%. Individual farms achieved yields of 700-800 centners per hectare, the average for the region was 400 centners per hectare. This was announced today by the mayor of the Almaty region, Amandyk Batalov, during a briefing at the Central Communications Service in Astana, ”said the mayor of Almaty region, Amandyk Batalov, during a press conference in the CCS.

As it became known, the two sugar factories in the region plan to produce 42 thousand tons of sugar with a demand of 30 thousand tons, which is completely closed. At the same time, in the future it is planned to introduce two more sugar factories, negotiations are underway with potential investors.

As Amandyk Batalov stressed, the current corn harvest is also pleasing:

“Corn production has reached a record harvest in the last 27 years in the amount of 532 thousand tons. This became possible due to the introduction of advanced technologies, ”said the Almaty oblast akim.

As for processing, after modernization, the capacity of the Zharkent starch factory increased from 10 to 135 thousand tons, a cycle of waste-free processing of corn was ensured, and production of 27 types of products was adjusted.
