“The positive dynamics of development in the real sector of the economy made it possible to increase revenues of the local budget over the past three years by almost 1.5 times and bring up to 194 billion tenge. Since the beginning of the year, about 29 thousand jobs have been created in the region, the unemployment rate has dropped to 4.6%, ”said Almaty oblast akim Amandy Batalov in the Central Communications Service.
The head of the region also said that within the framework of the implementation of the Head of State’s Address with all enterprises of the region, work was done to raise wages for low-paid workers.
“Today, 79.4 thousand workers at 43503 enterprises receive the minimum wage. Already more than 14 thousand employers have expressed willingness to raise wages to 32 thousand employees. The salary of 41 thousand employees of budgetary organizations will grow by an average of 35%. Also, from January 1, 2019, 133.5 thousand people will receive higher wages after the President’s initiative to reduce the tax burden, ”said Amandyk Batalov.
In general, since the beginning of the year, the average monthly salary in the region has grown by 5% and amounts to 114 thousand tenge. Real incomes of the population increased by 0.8%.
In addition, in order to reduce tariffs for housing and communal services, work was carried out with monopolists. “Kapshagayzhylu” reduced the tariff by 77%, “Taldykorganteploservice” - by 16.3%, “Zhetysu Energotrade” - by 2.4%.
“To reduce coal prices, a question is being worked out on the definition of a single operator for concluding a direct contract with coal mines. The implementation of these measures will allow, on average, to reduce the cost of a ton of coal by 800 - 2.5 thousand tenge, ”the speaker summed up.
