Pavlodar region takes the 4th place in the republic by the number of people who regularly go in for sports. At the end of this year, plans to enter the top three, ortcom.kz reports.
“We set ourselves a goal - to grow our champions and even Iron Manov,” said Deputy Mayor of Pavlodar Region Meiram Begentayev during an on-site briefing of the CCS.
As Meyram Begentayev notes, Marat Zhylanbayev has already proved his love for sports by his example.
“He is the only person on the planet who single-handedly ran through the largest deserts of Asia, Africa, Australia and America, which set several world records, seven of them are listed in the Guinness Book of Records,” the deputy said.
He also noted that with his participation in major events, such as the duathlon in Bayanaul district and the ERG Run Fest in the city of Aksu, Marat Zhylanbayev motivates our young people to actively engage in sports.
It is worth noting that the region has developed a strategy for the development of mass sports for the next 5 years, as well as a sports and leisure map of the region based on the Google calendar. This year in the region held 1124 sports events covering more than 160 thousand people, and the number of systematically involved in sports is more than 228 thousand people. And every fourth student is professionally engaged in physical culture and sports.
