At Astana Media Week, the topic of using digital technologies in electronic media, social networks, mass media and convergent journalism was considered, which, according to organizers, began to move dynamically in Kazakhstani media.
Digital media transformation, the way the market will be, the production and distribution of content was discussed in detail in the speeches of the Vice Minister of Information and Communications of Kazakhstan Nurgul Mauberlinova, President of the Alliance of Regional Media Yerzhan Seitkazinov.
“Modern mass media should combine the traditional and so-called new media, that is, promptly deliver reliable information, while remaining a kind of platform for communication, creating feedback from the audience. I think the forum participants will not be deprived of attention and this topic. Today, active market participants feel new digital trends better, participate in their formation, adapt them to our realities. We can only welcome this process and, if necessary, provide all possible support, ”the Vice Minister stressed.

On the margins of Astana Media Week, much was said not only about the use of digital technologies in the media, but also convergent journalism, the topic of which was raised in one of the sections on media literacy and media education. The fact that our journalists are increasingly began to go on the air from their smartphone - without an operator, illuminator, director and video engineer. The fact that the Kazakhstani reporter urgently needs to learn the skills of convergent journalism - to shoot, slander and write texts, to mount. The fact turned out to be somewhat unexpected: in Kazakhstan, convergent journalism became widespread in regional mass media.
