Today, the annual, already traditional, important event in the media sphere of Kazakhstan “Astana Media Week`18”, which takes place in Kazmedicenter from September 26 to September 28, 2018, has been launched.

As is known, the annual mediforum gathers famous speakers and experts in the sphere of mass media and social networks.

In a special studio, the CCS, guests of the forum talked about achievements in world media practice, sharing personal achievements in the media life of the country.

Kazakhstan TV presenter, producer, founder of the TV company “TV workshop Production House” Serik Akishev shared his views on linear television.

“A very interesting thing happens in the world. Some people begin to talk about some facts, but if you dig deeper and carry out an analysis, the situation turns completely. Everyone said and say that television is dying. But a global study conducted in 2017 in the United States, Brazil, in several countries in Africa, in Europe, in Russia, and in eastern China, says that linear television does not die. Currently, it is claimed even by a children's audience, which, it would seem, is only in mobile content. For a number of reasons, the most important thing in our work and in Kazakhstani television is the best content, as yet, on terrestrial television, ”the television journalist believes.

Serik Akishev also expressed his opinion on the statement that foreign programs will always dominate Kazakhstani television.

“I disagree with that. Why? Because, for example, according to the law, Kazakhstani TV channels must show content labeled “produced in Kazakhstan”. There was a rate of at least 40%, and now at least 50%. You want you do not want, it should be done. At least, we are on the TV channel “Magic Kitchen”, to which I am directly related, as a partner and co-founder. It is a great joy for us to maintain this norm, sometimes we even exceed it. Because working in Kazakhstan and not producing for the Kazakhstani audience is just silly. It’s necessary to do your own, in this particular it may be necessary for our viewers to be interesting, ”he said.

The journalist shared the opinion that every employee of the media sphere can benefit from his participation in “Astana Media Week`18”.

“I think that a journalist can extract very important things for himself (by the way, colleagues from the media school asked me to write the skills necessary in our work - I wrote two). First, I call it an unusual speed reading. No matter what language, learn to read quickly. It is very important to consume information quickly. The second - a very important skill - is the speed of reactions. And in this sense, Astana Media Week gives these skills in nurturing these qualities, ”he shared.
