“The presentation of the top 10 for international investors will be held at the first in the history of Kazakhstan Tourism Investment Forum and at the XVI Forum of Interregional Cooperation of Kazakhstan and Russia in Petropavlovsk with the participation of Heads of State of Kazakhstan and Russia,” said the Vice Minister of Culture and Sports of Kazakhstan Erlan Kozhagapanov in the Service central communications at a press conference on the state and prospects of the tourism industry in Kazakhstan.
As the Vice-Minister stressed, as a result of diagnostics of more than 100 tourist destinations, the Republican touristization map of Kazakhstan was formed and the top 10 maps were determined. The head of state made working visits to the destinations of the Top 10 Republican Touristization Card.
“The visit of the Head of State on May 9 to Alakol gave a powerful impetus to the development of tourism. The tourist boom increased the flow of tourists by 30% and attracted over 1 million visitors, ”Yerlan Kozhagapanov said.
According to him, new recreation areas are opening up in the region, transport logistics issues are being rapidly resolved. The railway station “Zhetygen-Dostyk-Zhetygen” was launched and is successfully functioning; flight connections to Usharal from Astana, Almaty and Taldykorgan. The “last mile” of the road from the village of Akshi to the lake has been built, and the reconstruction of the roads of Taldykorgan-Usharal-Dostyk continues.
The visit of the Head of State also gave an impulse to the transformation of general approaches to the development of Borovoy.

The visit of the Head of State to Mangistau in August marked the beginning of the development of a new beach resort in the Caspian.
“Here the main focus will be on the mass tourist. We plan to open the first season in May 2020. Successfully master the tourist potential of the Caspian Sea to neighboring countries - Turkmenistan, Iran, Azerbaijan. In this regard, Kazakhstan needs to work expeditiously in this direction, ”the ISS believe.
The Almaty region is a unique natural destination, located within a 4-hour approach from our main tourist markets: EU countries, the Persian Gulf, Iran, India, China and the countries of South-East Asia.
“In this regard, we have chosen the Mountain Cluster of the Almaty region as a key driver for the development of domestic and inbound tourism. The Mountain Cluster includes locations from Kaskelen to Turgen through Shymbulak, Almatau, Butakovka, Tabagan, Forest Fairy Tale, Ak Bulak and includes the infrastructure of connecting cableways and slopes. For the construction and modernization of the cluster, the most effective financial model will be used, in which the state will assume 30% of the cost of building the supply infrastructure to the cluster, and the business 70% of the construction of the tourist infrastructure itself, ”the vice minister informed.
