On September 15 of this year, the month of fire safety started in the country.
In order to reduce fires and death in the heating period of 2018-2019, a set of measures is provided by civil protection agencies.
“From September 15, the fire safety month started. Within the framework of the month (based on the analysis of fires, death and injury to people), the engineering and inspection staff of the territorial subdivisions of the Committee have developed schedules for passing the yard bypasses and gatherings of the residential sector. During gatherings and rounds, special attention is paid to preparing for the operation of heating devices, preventing the use of defective electrical appliances in emergency condition, careless handling of fire, ”Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan Yury Ilyin told a press conference in the CCS.
In addition, according to Ilyin, targeted fire-fighting propaganda is carried out at the place of residence of the most vulnerable groups of the population (persons with disabilities of the 1st group, participants of the Great Patriotic War, retirees living alone), disadvantaged and large families.
Special attention, as the speaker noted, during the heating season is paid to the younger generation. Work in this direction continues and is under constant control.
"From the beginning of the heating period and until completion in all educational institutions, school lines, classroom hours and parents' meetings are scheduled for preventive conversations aimed at preventing fires (including due to childish pranks), death and injury to people in fires, poisoning carbon monoxide and natural gas, ”said the speaker.
As Yury Ilyin emphasized, one of the main methods of preventive work in the residential sector is fire propaganda through the mass media.
In the media (television, print media, radio) are placed, broadcast materials on fire-fighting topics. Also, taking into account the increase in computer literacy and informatization of the population over the past ten years, civil protection bodies are actively using Internet resources (social networks, messengers).
