“The adoption of preventive measures and the interaction of the entire civil defense system in the fire-dangerous period of 2018 led to a decrease in the number of forest fires by 38%, steppe fires by 3 times,” said Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan Yury Ilyin at a press conference in the CCS.

As Yury Ilyin noted, since the beginning of the fire-dangerous period to prevent the occurrence of wildfires from among the employees of the state fire control, the local police service
and forestry institutions created 325 mobile groups with a total of 2 thousand people.

“These mobile groups conducted about 2 thousand raids. As a result of the raids, 177 persons were revealed and brought to administrative responsibility, ”said Ilyin.
