In 14 regions of the country, a pilot project for teaching English to rural students of the English language school “English for Jastar” is launched.
“The project is being implemented in partnership with major domestic and international organizations: AIESEC, Center for Educational Leadership LLP - a subsidiary of AOO Nazarbayev University, Qazaq Air, JSC, InterPress Language Center, Meloman HOME VIDEO LLP, Kazakh National University . Al - Farabi; 4KZTours.The project is being implemented by the “Zhas Otan” MK of the Nur Otan Party in cooperation with the Bolashak Association within the framework of the State Program for the Functioning and Development of Languages for 2011-2020 and the Message of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan N.Nazarbayev to the People of Kazakhstan public consciousness, ”said the executive director of the Bolashak Association, Laura Demesinova.
According to her, foreign and local participants in the project will train students in grades 9-11 on a voluntary basis. The project was approved by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan. It aims to develop the basic language skills of students in English. It is launched with the aim of creating a foreign environment for students, by attracting native speakers to overcome students' communication barrier.
Laura Demesinova expressed the hope that the motivation for the self-development of students and the world language would be enhanced by the example of successful Bolashak scholars, and the students ’and cultural outlook would expand.
The Project's working group carefully considered recruiting foreign volunteers to engage the Project, noted Laura Demesinova. Each of them was interviewed via video link, provided the necessary certificates and documents confirming that he had a higher education, state of health, and, of course, non-participation in criminal offenses.
The Executive Director of the Bolashak Association stressed that the project will not affect the educational process in schools and will work in the format of a talk club during free time from September to November of the current year.
At present, schools and places of residence have already been defined for the Project participants, each of them has responsible local officials - these are the first deputy chairmen of the district branch of the Nur Otan Party, the district police officers, district doctors, school principals and the Project Coordinator.
