The organizations of health of Kazakhstan, within the framework of the pilot project, started to keep medical records in electronic format.
The Deputy Minister of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan Olzhas Abishev informed during the press conference in the CCS about the development of digital health care in Kazakhstan under the “digital Kazakhstan” program.
“The process of digitalization of healthcare in the Republic of Kazakhstan in terms of the transition of healthcare organizations to paperless medical records has been launched since December 2017 (the healthcare organizations of the Karaganda region),” he said.
Noting at the same time that the launch of the process is carried out in stages - from January 1, 2018, healthcare organizations of the Akmola, Kostanay and West Kazakhstan regions are involved in this process as part of the first stage of the pilot project.
“From April 1, 2018, the health organizations of the South Kazakhstan, Mangystau, Pavlodar and Almaty regions - within the framework of the II stage, from July 1 of the current year - the cities of Astana, Almaty and Aktobe, Atyrau, Zhambyl, Kyzylorda, East Kazakhstan, North Kazakhstan The regions in the framework of the third phase of the pilot project started to keep medical records in electronic format, ”the speaker said.
In total, according to the vice-minister, more than 700 independent health organizations are planned to be involved in the framework of Stage I, II and III.
To date, according to Olzhas Abishev, the coverage of MISS (medical information systems) at the “city, district center” level is 96.7%.
But by the end of this year it is planned to reach 100% to the level of regional centers. Below the district level is 44.7%. Until 2021 it is planned to reach 100%.
