The Kazakhstan police not only fights crime, but also provides the population with about 40 types of various state services.
“The police not only combats crime, but also, together with the Government for Citizens, provides the population with about 40 types of various state services,” said the Minister of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Kalmukhanbet Kasimov, in the Central Communications Service at a press conference on strengthening law and order .
These include registration at the place of residence of citizens, registration of cars, civilian weapons, registration of identity cards and passports, address certificates and much more.
According to the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the quality of public services rendered to the population has improved markedly. The terms of providing certain types of services have been significantly reduced.
“To facilitate public access to the services provided, most of the services are automated and provided through PSCs (together with the Government for Citizens), special PSCs, and the Migration Services Centers, which operate in Astana, Almaty, Shymkent. Moreover, the term for the provision of services was reduced from 5-7 days to several hours "
- Kalmuhanbet Kasymov reported.
It is important that today, when rendering a service, the provision of numerous certificates from other state bodies is no longer required.
“Employees receive the necessary information from information systems and databases,” he explained.
The extraterritorial principle of providing some services has been introduced. “Now citizens, regardless of their place of residence, in any region of the country, can receive a passport, an identity card, a driver’s license or register a car through the PSC,” the speaker informed.
These and a number of other innovations will allow the Ministry of the Interior to provide public services to the public at a qualitatively new level.
