Astana Art Show will be held from September 15 to October 28 in Astana.
“Astana Art Show is the main event of the International Biennale of Visual Art of Modern Kazakhstan, and includes three exhibitions,” said Dina Baitasova, curator of the Astana Art Show, in the Central Communications Service.
The first theme of the event is “Metamorphosis”. Its participants are young Kazakhstani artists who have successfully realized themselves and have become famous abroad.
Along with Metamorphosis, from September 22, the second exhibition “Restart. Optimization of Space ”, in which the work of 16 young artists from Central Asia and Kazakhstan will be presented.
The third exhibition "The Ghost Expedition" is organized by the European Union. In this project, a group of artists from Europe and Kazakhstan will present the results of creative studies of the sacred places of the Mangystau region.
According to Dina Baitasova, more than 20 artists will present their works. Among them - both participated in major international exhibitions, and created specifically for the show.
As part of the Astana Art Show, public lectures by famous artists, master classes and curator tours will be held.
The official opening ceremony of the Astana Art Show will take place on September 15 at 19.00 in the TSE Art Destination Gallery at 33A, Republic Ave. The entrance is free.
