Kazakhstani artists who have become famous abroad will come to Astana.

The curator of the Astana Art Show exhibition Dina Baitasova reported this at a press conference.

Note that this time the press conference in the CCS was held in an unusual format - during which the CCS moderator and the expert were simultaneously moderated.

“From September 15 to October 28, the first international exhibition Astana Art Show will be held in Astana, which is the main event of the International Biennale of Fine Arts of Modern Kazakhstan,” she said.

The event includes three exhibitions. The theme of the first event is “Metamorphosis”, its participants are young artists - Kazakhstanis who have successfully realized themselves and have become famous abroad. More than 20 participants will present their works, both already participating in major international exhibitions, and created specifically for the show.

“Among the exhibitors is the famous Japanese photographer Ikuru Kuvadzhima, the author of the famous self-portrait series“ I, Oblomov ”. Aza Shadenova, a Kazakhstani woman who successfully realized her work in London, will also present her works to the court of Moscow art connoisseurs. A young artist Adil Aubekerov will delight Astana residents and visitors of the city with a new art object on the facade of one of the buildings. Visitors can see pictures and installations in the TSE Art Destination Gallery and in the area around it, ”said the speaker.

According to Dina Baitasova, along with Metamorphosis, from September 22, the second exhibition “Restart. Optimization of Space ”, in which the work of 16 young artists from Central Asia and Kazakhstan will be presented.

The third exhibition "The Ghost Expedition" is organized by the European Union. In this project, a group of artists from Europe and Kazakhstan will present the results of creative studies of the sacred places of the Mangystau region.

As the speaker noted, the Astana Art Show will also include public lectures by famous artists, master classes and curator tours.

The highlight of the exhibition will be a speech at the opening of a special guest of the event - world-class musician Benjamin Skepper (Melbourne, Australia), who will perform with his performance.

As you know, Benjamin Skepper creates new experimental music using modern technology and scientific innovation in an artistic context.

The event was organized by the Ministry of Culture and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the RSU “National Museum of the Republic of Kazakhstan”, the Republican Office for Program Management “Ruhani Zagiru”, the center “Artios Art Advisory”.
