The list of the Single Distributor for 2018 for drug support of patients with diabetes mellitus includes 48 types of drugs and medical products.
“There is no pronounced shortage of drugs, except that somewhere the doctors ordered an insufficient amount and we are supplying it. In particular, there were many complaints about drugs for the treatment of diabetes, ”said the Minister of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan Yelzhan Birtanov during a press conference in the Central Communications Service.
The Minister noted that the list of the Single Distributor for 2018 for drug provision of patients with diabetes includes 48 items of medicines and medical products, including syringes.
“To date, 47 items purchased, except for one type of syringe, due to the fact that he was removed from production. But there are other analogues and other syringes were purchased, ”he said.
Yelzhan Birtanov said that an additional purchase of 600 million tenge was made for diabetes in June, taking into account additional applications from the regions.
It is important that a single distributor made an additional purchase of consumables for insulin pumps according to the stated need from the health departments, to which Medtronic LLP will supply 186 insulin pumps for free.
“The list of procurement of a single distributor for 2019 stipulates that for every 12 sets one pump is provided free of charge for all newly identified patients and patients with pumps that have failed,” said the Minister of Health.
