Budget savings due to the supply of medicines and medical products through pharmacies at primary health care organizations amounted to 6.0 billion tenge.

“The saved funds are aimed at purchasing additional volume of medicines, medical products and increasing the coverage of free drug provision. In 2019, the West Kazakhstan, Mangistau regions and Shymkent are planning to switch to the sale of drugs through primary health care, ”said Minister of Health Yelzhan Birtanov.

As Yelzhan Birtanov noted, for 2018, outpatient medicines are dispensed through pharmacies at primary health care organizations for discharge and prescription at one place in 8 regions: Atyrau, Almaty, Karaganda, Pavlodar regions, East Kazakhstan region, North Kazakhstan Region, g .g. Astana and Almaty, which is consistent with the policy of ensuring the availability of medicines and increasing the level of public satisfaction with medical care.

In the remaining 8 regions: Akmola, Aktobe, Kostanayka, Kyzylorda, Zhambyl, Mangystau, West Kazakhstan, Turkestan regions, medicines are sold through retail pharmacies through the purchase of accounting services, as well as the sale of medicines - in the amount of no more than twelve percent of the price product according to the price list of a single distributor and includes the delivery of drugs to the pharmacy.
