About 8,000 first-graders in Kazakhstan can become members of military-patriotic organizations.
The deputy chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the chairman of the headquarters of the Republican youth military-patriotic public movement “Zhas Sarbaz”, Major-General Mukhamedzhan, informed about this during a press conference at the CCS.
“In order to implement the Address of the Head of State dated October 5, 2018, the Ministry of Defense plans to further improve military-patriotic work in the regions, for which it proposes to continue the practice of creating specialized Zhas Sarbaz classes in every school in the country,” he said.
According to the major general, the creation of such classes will improve discipline and performance, to form an active citizenship among students.
“In the case of opening at least one class in every school, it is possible to bring the total number of military-patriotic organizations to 7,523, reaching about 200,000 children,” he said.
Major General Talasov also spoke about the activities of the Ministry of Defense and the Republican Children and Youth Military-Patriotic Public Movement “Zhas Sarbaz” on the formation of new Kazakhstani patriotism among the military and the younger generation.
He noted that due to the activities of the movement in the current year, the number of military-patriotic clubs increased to 2,828, and the coverage was 73,164 children. Over the past two years, the Zhas Sarbaz Movement, together with other government agencies and public organizations, carried out 992 different events on the military-patriotic education of young people, covering over 110,000 people. Annual final and reporting forums, retreats and public hearings on military-patriotic education, training and methodological fees are held. “Meorandums of cooperation and cooperation were signed with the military patriotic movement Yunarmiya (Russian Federation), akims of Kyzylorda and Karaganda regions. In the future, it is planned to sign such memorandums with all regional akims and cities of Astana, Almaty and Shymkent, ”he said.
According to the speaker, the opening of specialized classes "Zhas Sarbaz" was one of the activities of the movement "Zhas Sarbaz". With the support of the Ministry of Education and Science, public foundations, 101 specialized classes “Zhas Sarbaz” have been opened, in which about 3,000 children study, which have become an important socio-pedagogical basis for the patriotic education of young people.
As Mukhamedzhan Talasov informed, the most large-scale of all the events held is the annual “Aybyn” military-patriotic gathering.
“More than 2000 clubs take part in district, city, and regional qualifying rounds with coverage of more than 55,000 children, the results of which determine the best military-patriotic clubs. Over the past three years, 3,110 children took part in the final stage of the Aibyn military-patriotic gathering, ”he said.
