At the International Innovation Forum Digital Bridge, an international presentation of the Astana Hub Technopark will be held with the participation of the Head of State, as well as exclusive IT industry awards.
The Vice-Minister of Information and Communications of the Republic of Kazakhstan Dinara Shcheglova told about this at a press conference in the CCS.
“In the framework of the exclusive event of the IT industry in Kazakhstan, at the main innovation event of the year - the International Innovation Forum Digital Bridge, an international presentation of the Astana Hub IT start-up technology park will be held. Digital Bridge is a new tool for uniting members of the international innovation movement, ”she said.
She stressed that the main goal of the Digital Bridge Forum is to create a dialogue platform between the countries of Europe and Asia to promote the ideas of digital transformation, e-government, technology entrepreneurship and the 4th industrial revolution.
As the vice minister noted, the forum participants are key representatives of the international IT community, recognized technology experts, business leaders, technology entrepreneurs, government representatives from different countries, digital development professionals, scientists, and venture capitalists and investors.
According to Dinara Shcheglova, the event will be presented with the first in Kazakhstan in the field of digitalization - Digital Bridge Awards.
“The award will allow to stimulate domestic companies developing projects in the ICT industry, as well as state and local authorities for outstanding results in the field of digital transformation in Kazakhstan. The Digital Bridge Awards will determine the leaders in the following nominations: “Best Digital Initiative”, “Best Office of Digitalization” and “Best IT-company”, ”she said.
This year, according to the vice minister, an important event of the Kazakhstan start-up industry will take place within the Digital Bridge - an international presentation of the IT-startups technopark Astana Hub, where the Head of State will take part.
Also during the presentation, the main instruments of Astana Hub, the results of the first graduates of development programs and the infrastructure of the technopark, which is now located in one of the pavilions of EXPO, will be demonstrated.
Officials from Kazakhstan and other countries, as well as international experts of the innovation ecosystem will be invited to the event.
As the speaker informed, Astana Hub will also hold two debut events on this day - the Astana Hub Awards start-up industry award and the Astana Hub Battle start-up competition.
“Astana Hub Battle is a competition of start-ups in the format of appearances before an audience. Young technological projects will compete for three cash prizes: 1st place - $ 15,000; 2nd place - $ 5,000; The 3rd place - $ 1,000. Astana Hub Awards is the awarding of the startup industry in Kazakhstan, whose participants will be awarded for achievements in the following nominations: “Techpreneur of the Year”; "Discovery of the Year"; "The best technology startup"; "The best IT project for the public sector"; "Breakthrough of the Year". The Astana Hub Awards are scheduled to become annual. The semi-finals and the finals of these events will be held on the Digital Bridge forum scene, ”she said.
