November 5 in Astana will be one of the main events of the IT industry in Kazakhstan this year - the International Innovation Forum Digital Bridge, ortcom.kz reports.
“We assume that the Digital Bridge forum will become a platform where every year we will be able to present the innovative and digital potential of Kazakhstan to an international audience and thereby attract foreign experts, start-ups, companies, investors and other representatives of the IT industry to our market. Through the Digital Bridge Forum, we will be able to identify and approve Kazakhstan as a regional innovation hub that promotes the ideas of digitalization and the 4th industrial revolution, ”said Vice Minister of Information and Communications of the Republic of Kazakhstan Dinara Scheglova in the Central Communications Service.
As Dinara Shcheglova notes, this year, within the Digital Bridge, an important event of the Kazakhstan start-up industry will take place. The international presentation of the IT-startup start-ups at Astana Hub will be held where the Head of State will take part.
“During the presentation, the main instruments of Astana Hub, the results of the first graduates of the development programs and the infrastructure of the technopark, which is now located in one of the pavilions of the EXPO, will be demonstrated,” she informed.
Also, according to the vice-minister, within the framework of the presentation, start-up projects that are based in the technopark will be presented.
“Young developers will demonstrate their projects and explain the support and role of Astana Hub as a tool for the development of IT start-ups,” the speaker explained.
Officials from Kazakhstan and other countries are invited to the event, as well as international experts of the innovation ecosystem.
It is worth noting that Astana Hub on this day will hold two debut events - the start-up industry award Astana Hub Awards and a startup competition Astana Hub Battle.
According to Dinara Shcheglova, the Digital Bridge forum participants will have the opportunity to hold 30-minute pre-moderated 1: 1 B2B meetings with companies that are interested in it or participants in the event.
“These meetings will be pre-moderated using a special mobile application. Soon, in Social Bridge accounts on social networks, we announce the application itself and post download links, ”she explained.
“We expect that the results of the Digital Bridge Forum will be expressed in attracting international IT start-ups and investors to Astana Hub, in sharing digitalization experience with different countries and in the opportunity to meet potential business partners or future employees to promote the growth of the IT sector,” concluded vice minister.
