The chief sanitary doctor of the country, Gendarbek, described the epidemiological situation in the republic as stable, reports ortcom.kz.
“Among the population of the republic, cases of the disease in 15 nosologies of plague, typhoid fever, pasteurellosis, legionellosis, diphtheria, polio are not registered. Compared to the same period in 2017, the incidence of 21 infectious diseases was reduced, including cutaneous leishmaniasis 6.3 times, hymenoliptic disease by 48%, giardiasis by 15%, ARVI by 13%, brucellosis by 12.7%, dysentery by 11 %, by enterobiasis by 7%, by respiratory organs tuberculosis by 6%, ”said Gendarbek Bekshin.
According to him, the incidence of meningococcal infection in the republic is currently stabilized. After antiepidemic measures have been taken since June 30 of this year, isolated sporadic cases of meningococcal infection are registered in the republic.
The average long-term incidence of meningococcal infection in the Republic of Kazakhstan is 2.1 per 100 thousand people, currently the incidence rate in Kazakhstan is 0.5 per 100 thousand people, which is 4 times lower than the threshold level.
