In the course of the ranking among Kazakhstani universities, it was revealed that 35.4% of graduates do not work in their specialty, a correspondent ortcom reports ** kz.

“The rating was carried out according to the following criteria: the percentage of employed graduates and their average salary, evaluation of the relevance of programs, as well as the results of the graduate survey. In the course of the rating, it was revealed that 35.4% of graduates do not work in their specialty, and 40% of graduates were not employed within 12 months. 430 educational programs do not have accreditation, only 31 universities have foreign accreditation of educational programs. Employment of graduates of different specialties at the level below 50% have 68 universities. The average percentage of employment in 92 specialties is 67.4%, while the minimum level is fixed in the specialty "Customs" 41%. The study also showed the lack of opportunities for the majority of students to choose disciplines and teachers, as it should be under the Bologna system, ”said Olzhas Ordabayev, Deputy Chairman of the Board of Atameken.

He noted that according to the results of the survey, graduates of the following areas most often work not in their specialty: social sciences, economics and business 40.24%, engineering sciences and technologies 41.97%, right 43.73%, services 43.42%, agricultural science 51.06%.

As shown by the analysis of the SCPP data, the average salary level in the following areas: social sciences, economics and business is 114721 ng, technical sciences and technology - 149963 ng, right - 89,434 ng, services - 98180 ng, agricultural sciences - 77045 tg.

Analysis of industry experts has shown that universities often copy the content of educational programs from each other, which indicates the lack of unique content. There are also modules that are very indirectly related to the specialty and lack of a binding theory to practice. Also, employers have noted the need to update the library fund. For example, in one of the agricultural universities used literature 1949-1975 years.

Given the need to update educational programs and orientation of universities for employment, rating according to employers will be conducted annually, said Olzhas Ordabayev. The results of the Rating will be used in the process of placing the state educational order, as well as for taking management measures by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
