"All registered mailings sent by individuals will be accepted in open form (with the exception of unregistered letters). The relevant provision (clause 2 of Article 39 of the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan" On Mail ") comes into effect on January 1, 2019. All registered letters, parcels and declared value letters, as well as parcels, must be brought to the post office in the open form. In this case, taking the mailing, the mail operator will be obliged to identify the sender and record his data. In addition, the reception of postal items through the postal machine is canceled due to the inability to check the parcels for the content of prohibited items. Acceptance of postal items with the issuance through the postal machine will be carried out through post offices. As explained in Kazpost, "the measures taken are necessary to ensure the safety of the health and life of the users of the mail operator and its employees."
