In this regard, I note that the penitentiary system of the Ministry of Internal Affairs does a lot to convicts serving their sentences in the colonies to adapt to life in freedom. Their training was organized in 54 secondary schools of the institutions of the UIS. On the basis of 48 professional colleges of the UIS, convicts are trained in working specialties most demanded in the labor market - they are carpenters, plumbers, electrical and gas welders, seamstresses, cooks and others. Employment of convicts is provided, which gives them the opportunity to compensate the victims for material damage, to provide assistance to their families, ”said RK Minister of Internal Affairs Kalmukhanbet Kasymov at a press conference in the CCS.
According to him, the issues of labor and domestic structure of the released convicts are assigned to the created probation service.
In the current year, together with local executive bodies, they provided social and legal assistance to 15 thousand people. These are employment, treatment, education, recovery of documents and others.
