Chairman of the Committee on Labor, Social Protection and Migration of the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population of the Republic of Kazakhstan Yerbol Nurgaliyev at a briefing in the Central Communications Service reported on the protection of labor rights of workers, as well as compliance with the law "On safety and labor protection at enterprises of the Republic of Kazakhstan". Creating safe working conditions and reducing industrial injuries is one of the main tasks of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the department. As a result of the measures taken over the past 5 years, the number of injured at work has decreased by 12.5%, and the number of deaths - by 16.2%.

“According to statistics, out of 1.6 million employees of enterprises surveyed last year, 375,000 worked in harmful and dangerous working conditions. The employer provides guarantees and compensations to employees engaged in work with harmful and dangerous working conditions in accordance with labor legislation. So, in 2021, 681,000 workers across the country received various compensations for working in hazardous working conditions in the amount of more than 167 billion tenge, which is 19% more than in 2020,” the representative of the department said.
