During the event, the heads of the foreign ministries of the CIS countries held a thorough and constructive exchange of views on topical issues of the regional and international agenda, discussed the state and prospects of political, trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian cooperation in the Commonwealth format.

In order to further develop multifaceted cooperation and strengthen the positions of the CIS countries in the international arena, special attention was paid to the consideration of the results of the implementation of the Program of Action to intensify partnership between the foreign ministries of the CIS countries. The Ministerial Council participants approved the results of the inter-MFA consultations held in 2021 within the Organization.

The ministers adopted a number of specific decisions aimed at the further development of multilateral cooperation in the field of culture and science, tourism, and notarial activities. In particular, the draft Regulations on the international project "CIS Youth Capital" and the List of promising scientific projects in priority areas of fundamental research of the Commonwealth states were approved for submission to the Council of Heads of Government of the CIS.

By the decisions of the Council of Ministers of Foreign Affairs, the International University of Tourism "Silk Road" (Samarkand, Uzbekistan) was awarded the status of the basic organization of the CIS countries in the field of tourism, the Belarusian Chamber of Notaries - in the field of notarial activities.

It was decided to hold the next meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the CIS on October 13, of this year, in Nur-Sultan.

On the sidelines of the CIS Ministerial Council, Minister M. Tleuberdi held separate bilateral meetings with the Ministers of Foreign Affairs of Belarus, Vladimir Makei, and Tajikistan, Sirojiddin Mukhriddin. Topical issues of bilateral cooperation were discussed.
