“In particular, this year work continues to identify rare metals at the Kara-Ayak and Muncha sites in the East Kazakhstan region, and it is planned to start work to determine the prospects for the discovery of rare earth metals at 12 new sites. It should be noted, that a special role in strengthening the mineral resource base has a leading scientific justification for setting up exploration work. In this regard, in the next 5 years, within the framework of program-targeted financing, it is planned to conduct scientific research to predict deep-seated objects and discover new deposits based on modern scientific achievements,” the speaker shared his plans.

In the current year, 3 projects of program-targeted financing are being carried out by the Institute of Geological Sciences named after K.I. Satpaev, East Kazakhstan State Technical University named after D. Serikbaev and the Institute of Hydrogeology and Geoecology named after U.M. Ahmedsafin.

"Institute of Geological Sciences. K.I. Satpaev, an Atlas of solid minerals is being developed, with an analysis of the patterns of placement and criteria for forecasting and searching for deposits of solid minerals. In practice, the Atlas will be a guide for geologists and investors,” summed up the head of the committee.
