Negotiations with Aziz Abdukhakimov were devoted to issues of cooperation in the field of tourism. In particular, Dauren Abayev spoke about the development of tourist routes in Kazakhstan, the creation of tourism products and cross-border tours.

During the conversation, special attention was paid to the implementation of joint projects and initiatives.

“Let me thank you for the initiative to jointly participate in the international tourism exhibition Tourism Expo Japan 2022 with a single stand in Central Asia. Previously, there were attempts of such cooperation between our countries as part of participation in the largest travel exhibition ITB in Berlin in 2020, which was canceled then due to the outbreak of the pandemic. In order to further promote a single tourist brand of Central Asia, the rich historical and cultural heritage of our region, it is necessary to combine our efforts,” Dauren Abaev emphasized.

The Head of the Department paid special attention to the issue of creating special conditions for the unimpeded passage of charter tourist buses at the land checkpoints of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Republic of Uzbekistan.

The minister also said that in 2023, it is planned to participate in at least 10 exhibitions, a number of road shows, info tours and advertising campaigns are planned.

In a conversation with Zarina Doguzova, special emphasis was placed on the topic of cooperation in the field of tourism. Thus, Dauren Abaev expressed interest in developing and signing a Joint Action Plan for cooperation in the field of tourism for 2023-2025, increasing the number of flights and expanding the geography of flights, as well as creating tourist cross-border routes.

“One of the most popular and effective tools to improve the country's image is holding a road show. This year we plan to hold a road show in such large cities of Russia as Novosibirsk, Yekaterinburg, St. Petersburg and Omsk,” he said.

As part of negotiations with Adkham Ikramov, Dauren Abayev noted that Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan fruitfully cooperate in many areas in the field of sports.

“Currently, relations in the field of sports are developing dynamically. We work closely in many sports within the Olympic Movement. Sports organizations of Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan fruitfully cooperate on issues of sports education, sports medicine and joint training camps. Uzbek athletes took part in major international sporting events. Thus, in May of this year, the International Greco-Roman Wrestling Tournament in memory of Zhaksylyk Ushkempirov was held in the city of Nur-Sultan. The event was attended by athletes from the CIS countries, including from Uzbekistan, where they took 3rd place in the team event. In turn, Kazakh athletes participated in 7 training camps and 11 international competitions at various levels in Uzbekistan in 2021,” Dauren Abayev said.
