The meeting was attended by Deputy Chairman of the Central Referendum Commission Konstantin Petrov, Secretary of the Central Referendum Commission Mukhtar Yerman.

During the meeting, the members of the OSCE/ODIHR Mission were acquainted with the plan of the main activities for the preparation and holding of the republican referendum, scheduled for June 5, 2022.

In addition, issues of legal support for holding a referendum, organization of work with lists of citizens eligible to participate in a referendum, information and coverage of the conduct of a referendum, campaigning, training of participants in a republican referendum, accreditation of international observers, participation in the observation of representatives of public associations, as well as consideration complaints and appeals during the preparation and conduct of the referendum.

An OSCE/ODIHR needs assessment mission is sent to the country to assess the pre-election environment and prepare for elections and referendums to make recommendations on the appropriateness of OSCE activities, as well as to determine the most appropriate observation format for the ODIHR.
